Eco-Friendly Innovations

THAIFEX - HOREC Asia spotlights sustainability with products that align with the booming eco-market. Vendors are offering solutions like biodegradable detergents, innovative solvents, and polymers that are designed to lessen environmental impact.

HOBART Thailand will showcase their Two Level Washer, a dishwasher that saves on time, manpower and space, as its footprint has the double capacity within the one machine, which helps reduce water and detergent use by up to 30%.

Laundrycare products, worth US$76 billion today, are estimated to reach a staggering market value of $110 billion by 2025, which resonates with the growing eco-consciousness of consumers, and as a result of R&D that has been focussed on creating green alternatives to traditional chemical-based products and solutions.

Exhibitors like Achlor Chemical Ltd. will show their solutions for environmental disinfection and swimming pool water treatment, together with a wide range of disinfection products suited for different applications, including industrial water treatment, swimming pool care, and various household and commercial settings.

Smart Technology in Laundry

Imagine laundry systems, like those from exhibitor Electrolux Professional, that are equipped with IoT capabilities to offer real-time monitoring and operational efficiency.

As Tjin Hokkho, Professional LAC Application Specialist at Electrolux explains, his company offers advanced machines that help marry laundry management with convenience in a manner that lowers the total operating costs of your professional laundry without compromising on throughput. For example, their machines help commercial laundries save up to 40% in running costs as their new ranges of commercial washers are designed to use the lowest possible water, energy and detergent consumption.

Electrolux will showcase Professional lagoon® Advanced Care, a solution for cleaning delicate garments, like coats or saris, wedding dresses or kimonos, tuxedos or cocktail dresses, along with wool blankets and viscose curtains. It also cleans leather, shoes and sneakers. It is a wet cleaning system that is the first 1-hour-Dry2Dry machine.

Modern laundry machines also feature Intelligent Dosing, a mechanism that automatically adds precise amounts of detergent, softener, and chemicals, which results in less waste of resources to deliver the best possible outcomes.

And, at the end of the washing cycle, you have the latest tumble dryers which offer up to 65% savings on energy consumption and yet feature the shortest drying times achievable.

For efficiency, the latest washing machines and dryers connect using IoT technology to remotely monitor their progress and performance, freeing the operator to do other meaningful work

Sustainable Packaging and Waste Reduction

Laundrycare packaging today ranges from concentrated solutions and tablets to laundry sheets that can be used multiple times, or refillable containers which help minimize plastic waste. These new formats reduce the overall environmental impact of such products.
